Successful trip to Korea and Southeast Asia
We recently returned from a successful trip to Korea and Southeast Asia where we exhibited at the International Thermal Spray Conference and visited customers and distributors in countries such as Indonesia, Singapore, and Taiwan. The ITSC 2013 show was held in the coastal city of Busan, South Korea. This annual show is always a great way to connect with existing customers that walk the show floor and to develop new relationships with future accounts. We used this exhibition as an opportunity to showcase our company’s capabilities and to promote products such as our new tungsten carbide HVOF powders for thermal spraying. It was truly a great show!
Our visits to current customers and distributors in the region were conducted by Sales Manager, Bob Unger. Bob worked closely with our accounts that purchase thermal spray wire and powder. “I believe it is so important to visit our customers and distributors. We appreciate their business and our in-person meetings are so much more meaningful than a phone call. It’s also a great way to learn more about our accounts. The more we understand their business and the projects they undertake, the better we can service them. It’s a win-win for both parties,” says Bob.
Polymet’s Danny Newman, Sales Manager for Hardfacing & Welding, is currently abroad visiting existing customers and prospects. Danny is promoting our POLYSTEL cobalt alloys (Stellite® equivalents) and our POLYTUNG NiBWC hardfacing alloys (NIFD® equivalents).
