General Description:

  • Responsible for all functions of the Polymet Customer Service Department

Job Summary:

  • This is a salary non-exempt position
  • Main responsibilities include:
    • Responding to customer and prospect inquiries
    • Quoting
    • Contract review
    • Order entry
    • Following up on quotations, leads, and lost customers
    • Assist with new item number creation and our corrective action process
    • Serve as the primary back-up for answering incoming phone calls
  • Be willing to assist in other areas as directed by the Sales Manager
  • Continually strive to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Participate in supporting and achieving company goals
  • Follow the requirements of the Polymet Employee Handbook and Safety Policies
  • Understand and follow all Polymet Quality Management System documents required by the Job Skill Assessment sheet

Minimum requirements:

  • Committed to providing outstanding service to our customers
  • Outstanding work ethic
  • 1-2 years of experience servicing customers
  • Excellent people and phone skills
  • High potential based on our standard assessment test
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Able to travel 1-2 times per year for 3-5 days
  • Agree to sign Polymet’s standard Employee Agreement, which inlcudes NDA and non-compete clauses
