PWD 106F

Chromium Oxide -45/+20

-45/+20 µm

PWD 106F is a chromium oxide powder which produced a hard, wear resistant, and chemically inert coating. This coating is coveted for its excellent corrosion resistance, particularly to acids, alkalis, and alcohols. This coating is able to resist wear from abrasive grains, hard surfaces, and erosion. Coatings also show anti-galling properties and sprays with low porosity. This coating is excellent for Analux rolls for the paper industry.

Applications:

  • Analux rolls
  • Chemical industry components
  • Pump seals, shafts, and wear rings
  • Other erosion and abrasion wear applications

PWD 130

Alumina Titania -53/+15

-53/+15 µm

PWD 130 is a powder consisting of alumina and 13% titania (nominal). They are designed to produce dense, extremely wear resistant ceramic coatings that can be ground to excellent finishes. Coatings of these materials generally have higher toughness, but lower hardness, dielectric strength and relatively less resistance  to chemical attack than coatings of alumina 3% titania or pure alumina. Coatings can be used at operating temperatures up to 540 °C (1000 °F).

Applications:

  • Hydraulic parts
  • Plungers
  • Automotive parts
  • Textile manufacturing components and tooling
  • Components for the chemical industry
  • Electrical insulation and dielectric applications

PWD 136F

CrO-SiO-TiO -63/+5

-63/+5 µm

PWD 136F is a chromia-silica thermal spray powder which produces a hard, dense, and extremely wear resistant coating. This coating is coveted for its excellent corrosion resistance, particularly to acids, alkalis, and alcohols. The silicon dioxide acts as a dampening medium that absorbs impact loading and prevents grain loosening, which enhances the wear resistance of the coating. Coatings made from this powder are insoluble in most acids, alkalis, and alcohol and when properly sealed, can be utilized in corrosive chemical environments at temperatures up to 200 °C (400 °F).

Applications:

  • Pump impellers
  • Reciprocating pump compressor rods
  • Air and gas cylinder internals
  • Centrifugal pump seals
  • Wear rings
  • Casing rings
  • Down-hole plungers in petrochemical industry
  • Mechanical seal application
  • Machine elements used for textile manufacturing
