PMET 50

IRON ALUMINUM THERMAL SPRAY WIRE

Characteristics and Composition

PMET 50 (Fe-Al) is an iron aluminum cored wire specifically designed for arc spray systems. It produces a well bonded coating with high hardness. It has the unique ability to produce either smooth or very rough profile coatings for non-slip applications. PMET 50 coatings have excellent machinability. Typical applications include non-slip coatings for walkways and stairs, gripping rolls and bond coats.

PMET 223

PMET 270

PMET 270 is a cored wire specifically designed for arc spray systems. It produces a partially amorphous, hard, abrasive and corrosion resistant coating, with a service environment up to 1600 degrees F. High chrome like finishes can be obtained by typical grinding and lapping techniques. PMET 270 has found use in a wide variety of high wear applications, anti-skid surfacing applications, and corrosive environments. The addition of 9% nickel gives it greater corrosion resistance than PMET 273 for most environments.

PMET 731 is an iron chrome aluminum alloy wire specifically designed for arc spraying. It produces dense, well-bonded coatings with excellent wear and high temperature oxidation resistance. It is widely used for machine element repair and dimensional restoration applications. PMET 731’s low shrink characteristic alloys increased coating thickness. PMET 731 is machinable.
